Almost 18 years ago, I began my journey at Casa de Corazón as a Preschool Teacher. Additionally, I have a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy and Educational Administration. My time at Casa has inspired me to grow and carry forward Casa’s core values, particularly in supporting our Rochester location.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, visiting family, and spending time with my two girls.

Bringing interculturality and Spanish immersion to our community here in Rochester is something I am very proud of. My family is very important to me and all the values that have shaped who I am today. Growing up in Minnesota has brought me to appreciate the activities that are unique to our state.

During my time here, I transitioned from a preschool teacher to an Administrative Assistant, and I now serve as the Assistant Director. Do we (or our child) need to know Spanish to start?
No. Most new families don’t speak Spanish. Our Spanish & Cultural Immersion model introduces key words and routines from day one, and children pick it up quickly. We also share simple at-home tips to help parents support learning.
Will my child be prepared for kindergarten, even if it’s English-speaking?
Yes. We use the Casa Creative Curriculum—NAEYC-approved Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum—focused on kindergarten readiness. We track growth from infancy through Pre-K with formal assessments so children build strong language, reasoning, and comprehension skills.
