I began as a substitute teacher at Casa de Corazón and later transitioned into a Toddler classroom role, where I grew professionally and discovered my passion for working with children. From there, I stepped into the role of Center Director. Casa de Corazón has been a place of constant learning for me, and I truly love the work I do.

Ten years ago, Casa gave me the opportunity to begin my career as a toddler and preschool teacher. That experience shaped my passion for early childhood education and led me to grow into an Operations Manager role, where I continue to support and strengthen the field. Why should I choose a Spanish Immersion daycare over a traditional one?
Spanish Immersion during the first five years of life takes advantage of the brain’s most critical window for language development, strengthening neural connectivity, attention, memory, and cognitive flexibility. Research shows that children in immersion programs meet or exceed monolingual peers in school readiness while also developing bilingual fluency, cultural empathy, and long-term cognitive advantages.
Do we (or our child) need to know Spanish to start?

Yes. We use the Casa Creative Curriculum—NAEYC-approved Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum—focused on kindergarten readiness. We track growth from infancy through Pre-K with formal assessments so children build strong language, reasoning, and comprehension skills.
