After 15 years in the Air Force, my journey with Casa de Corazón began as an enrolled parent in Minnesota. When our family moved to Wisconsin and couldn't find the same high-quality intercultural care, we decided to open our own center in 2019, eventually expanding to a second location in January 2025. Outside of the business, I enjoy traveling with my family, playing hockey, and coaching my children's teams.

With over a decade of experience in leadership and education, I found my home at Casa de Corazón in 2019, starting as an assistant teacher and growing into my current role as Director of Operations. In my free time, I love baking, running, camping, being near the water, and making the most of every moment with my husband and two-year-old daughter.

Drawing on my background as a clinical psychologist and Support Services Coordinator, I advanced from a Lead Teacher to my current role as Director at Casa de Corazón in Shorewood. I am passionate about creativity, dedicating my free time to producing my podcast and writing a book that will be published soon.

Why should I choose a Spanish Immersion daycare over a traditional one?
Spanish Immersion during the first five years of life takes advantage of the brain’s most critical window for language development, strengthening neural connectivity, attention, memory, and cognitive flexibility. Research shows that children in immersion programs meet or exceed monolingual peers in school readiness while also developing bilingual fluency, cultural empathy, and long-term cognitive advantages.
Do we (or our child) need to know Spanish to start?
No. Most new families don’t speak Spanish. Our Spanish & Cultural Immersion model introduces key words and routines from day one, and children pick it up quickly. We also share simple at-home tips to help parents support learning.
Will my child be prepared for kindergarten, even if it’s English-speaking?
Yes. We use the Casa Creative Curriculum—NAEYC-approved Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum—focused on kindergarten readiness. We track growth from infancy through Pre-K with formal assessments so children build strong language, reasoning, and comprehension skills.
