What It Takes To Be A Teacher

Our teachers see this work as more than a job. Our teachers have embraced full fledged child care careers in Minneapolis, Maple Grove, and Edina. To become a Casa de Corazón teacher, a candidate must possess:

o   What we call the “chispa” – energy, creativity, and a positive attitude

o   A desire to grow in this field, attending courses and participating in staff development opportunities

o   A passion for teaching and connecting with children and their families

o   The ability to work well in a team, and collaborate with others


We offer unique day care center jobs that Minneapolis and greater Twin Cities teachers have been looking for, but were unable to find. At Casa de Corazón, our teachers are highly qualified, bilingual, and can confidently educate children with our challenging curriculum. Casa de Corazón teachers must also:

o   Be qualified under MN Rule 3 guidelines for their position

o   Undergo a background study

o   Speak Spanish fluently

o   Have experience working in a formal child care or school setting
